Mixer Cases / Racks

In the context of audio, DJing, and pro-audio, a mixer case (also known as a road case or flight case) is a heavy-duty, protective enclosure designed to safely transport and store audio mixing consoles.

Core Purposes

  • Damage Protection: They are built with rigid exterior materials like laminated plywood, polyethylene, or aluminum to protect delicate knobs, faders, and electronics from drops, impacts, and heavy touring wear.
  • Convenience: Some mixer cases allow the mixing board to remain in the bottom section of the case during use, effectively turning the lid into a setup table or workstation.
