AMPLIFIERS

A sound amplifier is an electronic device or application that increases the strength and volume of a weak audio signal, making it louder for speakers, headphones, or to improve listening in noisy environments. There are different types, including: speaker amplifiers that power external speakers, headphone amplifiers for personal listening, and applications that use a smartphone's microphone and processing to enhance surrounding sound or on-device audio.

How it works

  • Signal Boost:

The amplifier boosts the signal's voltage and current to a level sufficient for driving speakers or headphones.

  • Output:

The amplified signal is then sent to the loudspeakers or headphones, making the original sound much louder and more audible.

  1. Input Signal:

The amplifier receives a low-power electronic audio signal from a source like a turntable, computer, or musical instrument.
